Their has been a serious lull in New York sports since the Yankees won the World Series (thank god for that). The Knicks won tonight but have been dreadful, and if you want to count the Nets, well they suck as well.
Our football teams have had terrible Novembers and it looks like the Jets don't have a chance to get into the playoffs. The Giants on the other hand got a break with the Cowboys, Eagles, and Falcons losing last week, so they're still in the playoff hunt, and are in control of their own destiny.
What do we need?
Well, since we all know the Knicks aren't interested in winning or going to the playoffs we need the Giants and Jets to make things interesting.
The Giants still have the talent and chemistry to make the playoffs. Like I stated in a previous posting, they need to improve in several facets of the game but when they get back to their winning ways, they will resemble the dominating regular season team of last year.
The Jets on the other hand are a different story. At least they've been entertaining! I mean what's better then a crying coach, or a rookie QB who reads a statement in front of the New York media and thinks he's going to get away it. Bart Scott is a loud mouth fool who thinks he's Ray Lewis, but is no where close.
Hey, if the Jets don't want to make the playoffs hopefully they can still make as laugh, and maybe cry from so much laughter (just had to sneak another cheap shot in).
Hopefully December will be better to New York. Iverson may be a Knick, and the Giants can hopefully knock off the Falcons, and Broncos in consecutive weeks. Just maybe this Yankees hangover can end soon because there's only enough space on the Internet to make fun of Rex Ryan and his inner feelings.
